Before starting, heat the oven to 200°C.

Put the butter, garlic and herbs in a bowl and mix with a spoon.

Make several cuts along the length of the loaf of bread, without slicing it all the way through.

Spread garlic butter on both sides of each cut with a knife.

Wrap the loaf of bread in aluminum foil and bake for 10 to 15 minutes.

Serve the bread before it cools. Tastes even better with a salad.
