Macaroni carbonara style

In a frying pan put oil and wait for it to heat up. Meanwhile we chop the 1/2 onion in small squares.

Once the onion is chopped and the oil is hot, add it and cook for 15 to 20 minutes. Until it is transparent.

Add the bacon and cook for 10 minutes more.

In a pot we boil the macaroni in salted water for the time indicated on the package. Preferably al dente which is usually about 6 minutes.

While the macaroni is cooking in a bowl add the 4 egg yolks and beat vigorously.

Once the egg yolks are beaten, add Parmesan cheese little by little until the desired texture is achieved (it should be a kind of paste).

When the macaroni is ready, add it to the pan with the bacon and onion. Mix everything well and let it cook for 1 to 2 minutes more.

Add the macaroni along with the onion and bacon to the bowl with the egg yolk mixture and Parmesan cheese. Mix well.

Serve immediately.
