First, cook the rice in a pot according to the manufacturer's instructions.

Then, chop the onion and add it to a frying pan with a little oil over medium heat. Also add a pinch of salt, garlic powder (or minced garlic) and black pepper.

When the onion is transparent, add the peas and, after a couple of minutes, the well-drained chickpeas. Stir everything well and add the rest of the spices along with the coconut milk.
