Preparaci贸n de la receta

We begin cooking the pasta. We put water in a saucepan and when it breaks to boil we add salt and the chosen pasta. The time will depend on each type of pasta and how we like it.

While the pasta is cooking, prepare the sauce. In a frying pan pour a dash of olive oil and add onion and garlic. Let it poach over low heat.

Cut the ham (it can be bacon or lac贸n) in cubes and add it to the frying pan. Let it cook a little, but do not overcook because otherwise the ham will be hard. Lower the heat to the minimum.

In a plate beat the egg with the cream and add it to the pan. It is important to keep the heat very low and stir every now and then because otherwise the egg will curdle very quickly. Add pepper to taste and salt if necessary.

Cook the sauce for a few minutes, if we see that it is too thick we can add a little more cream or milk. When we see that it is ready, add grated cheese.
