For the Japanese type rice (sticky) I use: two glasses of sushi type rice, short round grain. And two cups of water and two fingers. I cover it and put it on medium high heat until it starts to boil. When it boils I count two minutes, and lower to medium low heat, I count 13 minutes and take it off the heat and let it rest covered. It has to be dry and sticky and not overcooked.
