To start, pour a spoonful of EVOO in a pot and when it is hot add a clove of garlic cut into slices. Once it starts to take color, add the rice, stir it for a couple of minutes, add two glasses of water and cook over high heat for 7 minutes, then lower the heat and cook for 8 minutes more.

Wash the broccoli and cut it. Let it boil in a pot of water with a pinch of salt for 5 minutes, and remove it.

Cut the chicken (or any other protein) into strips and put it in the pan with EVOO. Once they are done, remove them and chop the onion, add it to the pan and once it is soft, add the mushrooms and add a little salt.

When this is done, add the chicken, rice and broccoli to the pan. Sauté for a couple of minutes and it is ready.
